Cable Co Cut Off

Well, cable was finally turned off today. We got a couple of free weeks, I guess it was their way of asking if we really want to turn it off. This is going to be rough, but to look on the bright side, we will have more time to interact as a family, we're not going to be glued to a big box in the middle of the living room.

I have to be honest, tonight has been a little rough for me. Jenny and I watched a movie, and that was great, but, I enjoy watching tv, vegging out in the recliner, watching my shows.

We do have some outlets though, but I think they are going to be used rather sparsely. It's just not the same to pull the laptop over and bring up tv programming on it. We'll see how it works. It's just hard to justify $60+ per month on something we do use, but something we only use in the evenings. The justification gets harder, especially when there are free programs on the internet.

I'm going to miss my cardinal games. Hmph. We are in a blackout area for them and to get to watch them on the internet, we would have to pay, and then still not be guaranteed all of the games.

Any ideas what we could do in the extra time?
